Detox Days 2 to 4
You made it to day two of the detox,
congratulations! You had three great, solid meals during the first day which
should help you slide gently into the demands of the second day when we will
begin to introduce juices and smoothies as meals.
Day one gave you the adjustment that you
needed from your original diet to your detox along with some fruity snacks in between
meals. From day two to four, snacks will be reduced to a glass of pure carrot
juice without any additional sweeteners or a combination of carrot juice and
apple juice. Cucumber juice is also a great addition to carrot juice along with
a few leaves of mint for that added refreshing taste.
Breakfast Recipes
For your breakfast, you will be having
fruit smoothies, a large glass for each day. Here are a few recipes that you
can use as guides for creating your own breakfast smoothies from days two to
four.
Apple, Banana, and Mango Smoothie with Mint
Ingredients:
To prepare:
Wash, core, and chop up the apples into
small, bite-sized pieces. Slice the banana into bite-sized pieces. Peel the
mango and remove the flesh from the stone or the seed.
Place all of the ingredients in a
blender and puree until smooth. Serve in a glass.
