Ingredients:
To prepare:
Slice up the fruits into bite-sized pieces
and set aside. Don’t forget to wash and peel when needed.
In a small pan on medium heat, add the
oats and the water and let the mixture simmer until you get the consistency
that you want (usually around five minutes). Take the pan off the flame and mix
in the yogurt. Transfer to a bowl and top with the sliced bananas.
Keep in mind that you can’t have coffee
at all during the whole week of detox but you can grab this opportunity to try
out some interesting teas. You can go full floral or try a citrus and mint
infused green tea. Vanilla Ceylon is also a common favorite among tea drinkers
but a good breakfast Earl Grey is traditional.
Between breakfast and lunch, don’t
forget to snack on an apple or a banana or maybe some delicious pears if
they’re in season. Throughout the detox, you will be eating about five to six
small meals a day but it is particularly important on the first day when your
body is adjusting. Keep the snacks limited to fresh fruits on the first day but
on later days you can have carrot juice with mint or a half-and-half of apple
juice and carrot juice with a touch of parsley.
